The hearing healthcare and audiology profession was built to have you fail.

It was set up to keep you small, stuck, and buried in student loan debt.

From a single widget-focused revenue line, to manufacturer-dominated national organizations, to those advocating for a professional vision of diagnostic reimbursements and government interventions that will never pay your bills, to monopolistic control by the big five, their support of discounts, third parties, and OTC, and the internal fight between the egos of audiology and hearing specialists instead of a unified #audpeeps — all the way to the most recent outrage over an overpriced doctoral degree.

It’s not working for most.

Ask the burnt-out small practice owner. Ask the student-debt-burdened audiologist. Ask the aging and retiring owners why they can’t find a buyer other than a corporate chain.

This profession will only thrive in the future on one thing: independence.

Independence Is the Whole Point

Independent purpose. Independent practices. Independent advocates. Independent organizations. Independent providers. Independent money objectives. Independent financial futures. Independent science.

All of us leading our own practice of purpose.

That’s what AuDExperts does, protect and propel the independent owners for their purpose.

When Will We Start Choosing Independence Over Illogical Repeats?

In my 15 years leading one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing independents, now at 21 locations, and coaching more than 265 other owners, I’ve watched the same pattern repeat itself:

  • The profession asked for “business support” and got money-sucking middleman buying groups.
  • The profession advocated for “insurance coverage” and got third parties.
  • The profession advocated for “increased access” and got retail audiology.
  • The profession advocated for “government legislation” and got OTC hearing aids.
  • The profession now advocates for “increased diagnostic coverage and reimbursement”, and will only become more of a technician class as a result.

It’s time. To make a choice. To take a chance. Or our profession will never change.

The Independents Are the Real Power Center

We, the independents, are the power center of hearing healthcare and audiology. The advocacy we need isn’t a few more dollars from the government treasury, a few more discounts from the manufacturer, or free and unsuccessful marketing from the “experts” at buying groups.

The advocacy needs to be for you, yourself, and your profession.

The independents who left their jobs at the hospital, the VA, the school, or the corporate world and started a practice, or went to work at one. The independent who created and executed best practices. Who sat across from the patient and listened to their needs. Who worked through lunch to help one more patient. Who stayed late to make payroll. Who gave their blood, sweat, and tears to provide their patients, their staff, and their families a better future.

Join Us in Las Vegas This December

Join us at MONEY: The Practice of Purpose Summit later this year and stop gambling on a system that has held you back, kept you trapped, kept your staff underpaid, and chosen its own winners and losers with blurred lines and top-down control.

Reclaim your place and join the revolution for the future of hearing healthcare private practices, so the next generation can thrive and carry your mantle forward. You can see all of our upcoming events here.

The Future We’re Building

This is a future that:

  • Increases the number of cash-pay patients treated in your office
  • Pays you and your team for the value of outcomes, not diagnostics
  • Helps you create financial freedom for you and your team — including those student loans
  • Promotes your experience and expertise over the widget
  • Rallies the independents to claim their power and influence and use it for a better profession
  • Acknowledges hearing care as a lifetime commitment — one you have to financially survive to honor

This Isn’t for Everyone

This event and this future are not for everyone.

They’re for the owners who are tired. Tired of the cash crunch. Tired of the cost-of-goods games. Tired of the taxes. Tired of wasteful marketing spend recommended by the widget manufacturers. Tired of “experts” in buying groups telling them what to do when they’ve never done the job as an entrepreneur themselves. Tired of not knowing what their legacy and exit will be.

Learn more. Take action. Keep an open mind. The ones who got you here today aren’t always the ones who can carry you into tomorrow.
